Abstract/Contents: | Describes a situation where Richard Winter, the newly-appointed head curator of the Western Australia Cricket Association, was challenge to improve the practice wicket grounds. In the year's previous matches, the wickets were too wet, thus Winter used two Mentay rollers, one heavy, one light, to correct the problem. Preliminary tests proved positive for the upcoming matches. Also discusses allowing the sod to establish before play. |
