| Abstract/Contents: | Soil compaction by rolling delayed the emergence of seedlings of Z. japonica but had no effect on growth and survival. Application of lime or NPK fertilizer did not affect seedling emergence or survival but promoted weed competition. Winter killing was greater if plant cover was sparse than if it was abundant. |
