Abstract/Contents: | Discusses research intended to compare drought resistance in low and high water use Kentucky bluegrass cultivars. "Cultivars that combine maximum rooting potential and minimum water use are expected to afford greater turfgrass survival (less wilting, superior color and turfgrass quality) during drought stress...low [evapotranspiration] cultivars as a group are expected to have superior drought resistance than the high [evapotranspiration] group." States that "this research is to be initiated in the fall of 98." |
