| Abstract/Contents: | Second in an article series describing the development of Sage Valley Golf Club. Timbering, stumping, and grubbing were almost complete at the time of publication. Tom Fazio, course architect, visited the site to make additional comments to turn Sage Valley into a "truely unique golf course." Also details the contruction plans and operations, stating that "we plan on moving about 750,000 cubic yards of material during our project. At the present time we have not made all the decisions on grassing our course. I do know we will be sodding everything with the exception of greens and tree tops. Irrigation-wise we will have either two-pump stations on the course or we will have to use life stations. We are also working on a very unique concept that hopefully by my next article I will be able to tell you a little more about." |
