Abstract/Contents:Presents two studies: a cultivation equipment comparison and a cultivation intensity study. States that the studies were conducted in fall 1985 and spring 1986, respectively. States that the purpose of the equipment comparison was "to compare four core aerators and one vertical mower in their capabilities to remove excess thatch from a Kentucky bluegrass stand." States that the objective of the cultivation studies was "to investigate the effects of core aeration and grooving on thatch prevention and thatch removal." Provides information about and results of each study.
