Abstract/Contents: | Discusses how "learning the tricks of the trade" can distract from the more effective basics of turfgrass care. Suggests ways to evaluate the merit of new products and technologies, including: maintaining skepticism, looking for independent research, testing products on a limited basis, and determining if a product is really necessary. Recommends keeping "the emphasis on basic agronomic programs rooted in good science and common sense." |
