Abstract/Contents:Discusses turfgrass resistance to disease, stating that "once stimulated through infection, the plant posseses an enhanced level of resistance that is capable of protecting against a wide variety of pathogens." Examines the internal plant processes that lead to resistance, stating that salicylic acid is an important component of these processes. Defines "Systemic Acquired Resistance," and comments on its possible incorporation into the Integrated Pest Management system.
