Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study "to evaluate chemicals for the control of basal rot anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum graminicola." Evaluates for percent anthracnose damage, turf quality, and phytotoxicity. Results indicate that "disease pressure was variable across the study area and many of the treatments did not separate statistically. However, based on the quality ratings taken July 8, there were some differences. A few of the better treatments included: Compass, Chipco Triton, Heritage, BAS 500, Eagle, Lynx, Bayleton, Daconil Ultrex, and Junction. Fourteen treatments at the August 25 rating provided significantly better control than the untreated control. Additionally, no treatments proved to be unacceptable for the phytotoxicity rating." |
