Abstract/Contents:Presents a study to evaluate snow mold fungicide efficacy against the snow mold pathogens Typhula incarnata, T. ishikariensis, and T. ishikariensis Biotype II. Results include that "both the fungal isolate and chemical concentration have a major affect [effect] on fungal growth" and that "most of the chemicals provided excellent control of T. incarnata isolate 3.131 except Fungo, which is not labeled for either of these pathogens. Daconil required higher concentration to achieve effective control of all the isolates. Chipco 26 GT and Prostar provided the best control of all isolates, with Prostar showing the most activity at low concentration levels." Mentions that "an additional study has already been initiated to look at the differences among isolates of the same species and across biotypes. These results should be next year."
