Abstract/Contents:Describes the increased use of SSCA certified sod by golf courses, developers and athletic fields. Briefly profiles the different types of bermudagrass, St. Augustine and Zoysia certified grasses available for purchase. Suggests that part of the reason that certified sod has become more popular is that "there has been more emphasis placed on the quality and playability of turfgrasses than ever before."
