| Abstract/Contents: | "Pyraclostrobin (BASF 500 F) is a strobilurin fungicide developed by BASF. It was introduced to the scientific community in 2000. Pyraclostrobin is currently under joint Canadian (PMRA) and US EPA review for use on citrus, small fruits, peanuts, potatoes, sugarbeets, vegetables, stonefruits, treenuts, turfgrass, and certain cereal crops. At the rates tested in field research trials on these crops, pyraclostrobin demonstrated to provide efficacy against the majority of foliar pathogens that was generally greater than or equal to fungicides currently available. Disease efficacy data generated in the 2000 and 2001 field seasons are presented to demonstrate the broad-spectrum activity and versatility of pyraclostrobin on a variety of crops. Trade names for pyraclostrobin will be CabrioTM EG fungicide, HeadlineRN fungicide, and InsigniaRN fungicide." |
