Abstract/Contents: | Describes ways to combat heat stress on sports fields. Suggests strategies such as increasing mowing heights during periods of inactivity on the field, aerating soil, irrigating more frequently with lesser amounts of water "during periods of heavy use to maintain soil stability, and [syringing] the field on those hot days to cool the turfgrass canopy." |
