| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the use of fipronil for control of fire ants and nuisance ants. Explains that although mound-building nuisance ants are listed as a secondary target on the label, fipronil may only be used in southern states where fire ants occur. States that "for now, firponil is only available for use by southern turf managers. Aventis is actively seeking to broaden the fipronil label, so that granular products for nuisance ant control on northern golf courses will hopefully be available soon." |
