Abstract/Contents:Discusses the diversity of people and challenges in the golf course superintendent profession. Addresses the importance of presenting and image of professionalism in both the attitude and attire of the staff as well as in "maintaing the course in a safe manner and keeping work areas clean and well organized." Concludes "we [superintendents] become better only by recognizing our weaknesses and being willing to address them. That's how we do our best, and in so doing improve our image and that of the profession."
