Abstract/Contents:Discusses a GCSAA representative's testimony at a hearing on proposed amendments to the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG). Describes the proposed amendments, which "would add a new special application section for newly constructed and altered golf courses and other recreational facilities that are not addressed by the existing ADAAG guidelines. The guidelines indicate how new golf courses must be built to be accessible under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and note that any alterations to any existing golf course must be ADA compliant." States that "GCSAA has been involved in the development of the ADAAG guidelines for several years as a member of the Accss Board's golf subcommittee."
