Abstract/Contents: | Discusses techniques used in accenting golf courses with seasonal plants and flowers. Describes steps that need to be taken in the planning process. Included in these steps are deciding the type of plants to use, choosing the area to be planted, calculating the total number of plants needed, choosing where to purchase the plants, and how much the plants and maintenance of the plants will cost. Briefly discusses the problem of lack of funding and how to estimate maintenance costs. States that "the blending of high quality golf course turf with colorful plantscapes is an art form within a science." |
