Abstract/Contents:This study sought to determine the adaptability of Seashore paspalum to winter color enhancing practices and rate the quality of the turf during the winter and the following growing season. Six different treatments were used: two different nitrogen fertilization applications, overseeding with annual and perennial ryegrass, a turf colorant (Cal-Verde), and a check plot. For winter performance, the two overseeding treatments yielded poor quality. The perennial ryegrass was the only treatment that gave acceptable turf quality from fall through the spring transition into summer.
