| Abstract/Contents: | Suggests that while the efforts at Southern Hills Country Club did a good job in preparing the course for the U.S. Open, the adaptation of mowing heights in order to compensate for steep approach and green slopes during the event was a mistake that should be learned from. Suggests that in the year prior to the event, a course should be played under tournament conditions in order to forsee any potential problems. |
