Abstract/Contents: | Addresses problems turf managers have with snow mold and freezing temperatures during harsh mountain west winters. Points out that proper drainage and little wind are keys to a turf's survival through the winter. Stresses that winter preparation begins in the summer with aeration and topdressing, and continues into the fall with the timing of fungicide applications. |
