Abstract/Contents:Discusses bentgrass dead spot (BDS) and states that it is a "relatively new disease of creeping bentgrass that is incited by the fungal pathogen Ophiosphaerella agrostis." States that it "appears initially as small, dime-sized spots that may increase up to three to four inches in diameter." Details disease description, the biology of the pathogen, and field observations. Suggests that "the disease was most commonly found on greens within two years following the seeding of new greens."
