| Abstract/Contents: | Reported are the turf difficulties of 1976 with major emphasis on Cynodon. The weather transitions were the major cause for turf problems. Weed control by proper timing when using pre and post emergent chemical is discussed. Specific weeds of southern greens are discussed briefly including specifically Eleusine Indica as an abundant and hard to control weed of the time. Cynodon invasion of bent greens, insect and animal damage, turf mixtures, and the use of gibberellic acid to stimulate slow Tifgreen germination in rough development are all problems mentioned. |
