Abstract/Contents:"Nematodes are a major factor in the decline of turfgrass in South Florida. Sting and root-knot nematodes are most frequently associated with this injury, but others may also be important under other conditions. The only nematocide that can be recommended for established turfgrass at this time is DBCP (Fumazon or Nemagon) and its use may result in slight turfgrass injury. Bayer 25141, Zinophos and Diazinon all offer promise for future use on turfgrass. The first two are relatively hazardous to use, while Diazinon is safe and easy to apply and appears to give good control of most of the nematodes affecting turfgrass."
