| Abstract/Contents: | Reports 2nd year quality ratings of the regional 32 fine fescue cultivars and blends established in Fall 1982. The diseases Rhizoctonia, Sclerotinia, and Collectotrichum damaged several cultivars. The most susceptible were Ruby, Pennlawn, Fortress, Ensylva, Duar, Banner, and Jamestown. NK79189, Jamestown, Banner-Checker, Shadow, and NK80346 held their color better than the other cultivars. The best cultivar through the growing season was Shadow followed closely by Scaldis-Atlanta, Checker, and Barfalla. |
