| Abstract/Contents: | "The number of agricultural biogas plants in Germany rose in the meantime up to 1900. Investigations proved that verdure is outstandingly suitable for the fermentation in those plants. As the clippings from golf courses, sports sites and local green areas were often not used in a reasonable way so far, new possibilities are looked for. It might be possible in many cases to insert the clippings to those biogas plants. An adequate recycling can take place there. This might be more economical than today's disposal ways. After the fermentation the nutrients contained in the grass will be lead back to agricultural areas. The energy produced in the process helps to save fossil energy sources and thereby reduces unnecessary CO2-emissions. For producers of such materials e.g. for golf course manager it is profitable to use this treatment way." |
