Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the evolving methods of designing and building golf courses over the past 75 years. Questions whether or not modern technology detracts from designing abilities. Discusses the ways contract documentation has changed since the 1920s. Describes the roles of golf course architects and golf course designers and how the two roles may be merging. Concludes by stating that "education is the key" and that "the answer to most problems is certainly discoverable somewhere but the specialists of the team provide speed and confidence in the decision made". |
