Abstract/Contents:Suggests that dollarspot "has become one of the more serious diesases affecting Florida turfgrasses" and discusses the prevalance of the disase during seasonal periods that had not been problematic. Describes the occurance of the disease during the hotter summer months in 1957 and 1958. Mentions comparisons done in Florida with different, cooler regions of the United States and the results of the tests. Highlights evaluations done by F.T. Bennett and presents the results. Concludes that results "indicate that the dollarspot fungus as it occurs in Florida is more tolerant of high temperature than the same fungus from cooler regions."
