Abstract/Contents: | Discusses potential bunker maintenance techniques. States that "using the right equipment is obviously important, but more subtle factors also come into play, and keeping maintenance costs in line starts on day one." Suggests the use of bunker lining, profiling lining developed by Jim Hubbs, vice president of Stabilizer Soutions. States that "with Hubbs' lining in place, water drains better into any traditional pipe system and the material also keeps the subsoil from percolating up into the sand." Describes potential methods of erosion and rain damage control. Concludes that "bunkers reflect whatever's been going on, whether it's heavy downpours or windswept days. 'It's a hazard.'" |
