| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted "to observe Poa annua and other broad leaf weed control and examine any turf injury on overseeded perennial ryegrass." Details methods and materials used in the study stating that "trifloxysulfuron was applied at 17 and 29 g [grams] a.i. [active ingredient] ha-1 [per hectare]." Reports that "trifloxysulfuron treatments resulted in optimum control of common dandelion (Taraxacum officinale Weber), carpet weed (Mollugo verticillata L.) and spotted spurge (Chamaesyce maculate L.) 14 days after overseeding (DAO)...Optimum control of Poa annua was achieved between 21 and 60 days after treatment (DAT) with a single application of trifloxysulfuron." Concludes that "trifloxysulfuron applications at 17 and 29 g a.i. ha-1 resulted in optimum control of broad leaf weeds and Poa annua within 28 days after treatment." |
