Abstract/Contents: | Profiles dollar spot (Sclerotinia homoeocarpa), providing "a review of the dollar spot pathosystem, [pointing] out discrepancies that need to be more carefully studied." States that dollar spot "was first reported as a pathogen of turfgrass in 1937...[it] is thought to survive in the form of dormant mycelium and stroma in and on plant tissue." Presents and describes an experiment conducted "in order to study the interaction between the pathogen and it's [its] host." Briefly describes a study conducted "to determine if...particular fungicide timings can reduce dollar spot levels to below 5 to 10% disease severity and if acceptable dollar spot control is achieved." |
