Fall 2022 Update:

During the Fall 2022 semester, there are several routes to get in touch with the Turfgrass Information Center.

  • The department will be open to the public Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9am-5pm.

Abstract/Contents:Briefly reports on turfgrass breeding studies conducted by the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station in Dallas, Texas. States that "the pervasive objective for all species under development includes breeding for adaptation to natural environmental conditions with special emphasis on water consumption, heat, salinity and drought tolerance, and disease and insect resistance." Concludes that "plant materials will be released pending approval in 1989."
