Abstract/Contents: | "Triazone and triazine are both organic, slow-release N compounds, but that is where the similarities end." N release from triazine and triazone is caused by microbial action. Triazine releases virtually no N during the first month after application and then releases N rather slowly over a period of 16 weeks or more. On the other hand, N release from triazone begins shortly after application. Microbial release of triazone N is complete with eight to 12 weeks after application, depending on the environment. Better turfgrass color can be expected from triazone than form triazine because of the faster rate of N release from triazone which is suggested when two products are applied in the same N rate. |
