Abstract/Contents: | "The most important recent advance in turfgrass pathology is the discovery that the underground organs of turfgrass are commonly attacked by ectrophic fungi, resulting in destructive patch-type diseases." Discusses the following concerning ectotrophic fungi and patch diseases: history, difficulties in identification, situation in California, general occurrence of L. korrae and M. poae in the U.S., above-ground symptoms, below-ground symptoms, preventative control, and post-disease control. |
