| Abstract/Contents: | Relates findings from research done to develop new germplasm and create new cultivars for Kentucky bluegrass, tall fescue, perennial ryegrass, and bentgrass for commercial use. Grasses were monitored for winter kill and manipulated to encourage darker green hues and slower rates of leaf elongation. The effects of shorter days and cool-season temperatures on turf were also studied. |
