Abstract/Contents: | "The experiment was conducted on a 1-yr old stand of bentgrass at the Sandhills Research Station in Jackson Springs, NC. The bentgrass plots were planted the previous fall and received standard management. Each treatment was initiated on 2 Jun and repeated on a 14-day interval. Treatments were applied with a pressurized CO2 backpack sprayer in 2.5 gal water/1000 ft2. Treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications; plots were 5 ft by 5 ft. The test period was hot and moderately dry. Air temperature at the time of applications averaged 85 F and soil temperature averaged 80 F. Disease pressure was moderate. The most effective treatments for Pythium and brown patch were Fore 80WP at 8.0 oz and ASC66825 4.17FL at 1.0 oz. There were no significant differences among turf quality (TQ) ratings. ASC66825 4.17FL at 1.0 oz produced a darker green turf." |
