Abstract/Contents:	"Two populations of chewing fescue collected from maritime and inland habitats were grown in nutrient solutions at various NaCl concentrations. Dry weight of shoots and roots indicated that marsh population was tolerant and inland population nontolerant to NaCl in solution culture. A tolerance is achieved by limiting or reducing Na and Cl absorption as well as by preferential absorption of K from high NaCl solutions."
