Abstract/Contents: | "Spray drift, which occurs anytime liquid sprays are applied, is undesirable for economic, environmental and safety reasons...Although complete elimination of drift is impossible, application can reduce problems if chemicals are applied with the proper equipment under favorable weather conditions." Discusses the importance to reduce drift for cost efficiency and environmental protection. Addresses major factors to be considered in spray drife management, including sound judgement on the potential damage caused by drift, and applicator's judgement regarding equipment and weather. Includes 10 strategies to reduce drift in pesticide application. |
