Abstract/Contents: | Aids in the decision-making process of trading in equipment due to repairs. Lists the primary tests for checking the engine. Also lists ways to diagnose a transmission system and to check the mower deck. "Before making the final decision on a piece if equipment, your P-M-I chart and the actual value of the machine need to be reconciled." It is suggested to first consider the projected cost to condition the machine for the next season, then add that figure to the actual investment in the machine as compared to the market value. "Whatever your choice, make sure all the bases are reasonably covered. By closely examining your equipment's condition and considering the financial aspects of each option, you'll have the peace of mind in the end of knowing you made the right decision." |
