Abstract/Contents: | The use of an air velocity meter sensor to measure tiller water content by contact is described. The calibration and testing of the equipment using perennial ryegrass showed that reasonable estimates of water content were obtained for inflorescences, exposed stems, laminae and leaf sheaths. The method was compared with drying at 100 deg C. |
