| Abstract/Contents: | "Annual bluegrass (Poa annua) is a serious problem on many overseeded bermudagrass greens in the Southeast. Most greens are overseeded with either a perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne) blend or rough bluegrass (Poa trivialis). With resistance and poor control increasing with some of the standard products, new options needed to be thoroughly tested. Therefore, a three-year study was conducted on an overseeded bermudagrass green heavily infested with annual bluegrass. Various rates and timings were evaluated with standard products and experimentals. Rated was perennial ryegrass or rough bluegrass cover or density as well as percent control of annual bluegrass. Percent green-up of bermudagrass was also evaluated in the spring of each year. Specific results will be presented." |
