Abstract/Contents: | Presents ten "spring fix-up tips" for sports turf managers: determine how much traffic the fields can tolerate, remove lips around grass edges, walk mow the infield and foul territories, mow as short as possible and remove clippings, start aeration in a circular pattern, rake and save the plugs off the infield, apply a starter fertilizer, topdress the renovated turfgrass, solicit players for maintenance help, and be persistent. |
