Abstract/Contents: | Profiles Stade de la Licorne, a stadium in Ameins, France. States that "there are two advantages of the design of Stade de la Licorne -- firstly, the plentiful parking space and secondly, the space to build a practice pitch alongside the stadium." Also states that "the exterior cladding to the spectator areas is made of clear safety glass (similar to that used for car windscreens) offering an unusual but striking design. The advantages of this specific design would seem to be the fact that this creates a light, airy atmosphere for the spectator and player alike, and it will no doubt be greeted with great enthusiasm by the groundsmen as this design will ensure healthy grass growth. It is also an environmentally friendly design, in the sense of keeping the need for artificial light to a minimum." |
