Abstract/Contents: | Emphasizes the importance of heat and light to the growth and color of bermudagrass. Discusses strategies for maintaining heat in winter, including water, plastic tarps, and the electrical resistance cable. Describes the history of and research concerning the cable. Predicts that "sustaining winter color in bermuda and other lawn grasses can be accomplished successfully through the used [use] of the electric resistance cable and at a cost competitive with other methods new being used." |
