Abstract/Contents: | "The envelope system has been developed in order to provide synthetic surface sports facilities which have playing characteristics similar to, if not identical with, natural turf, with a degree of changeability depending on climatic conditions. The paper describes the principles of the System, and the essential features of the materials used in it. The figures show some values for percentage ball bounce obtaine in investigation of various surfaces and materials." |
