| Abstract/Contents: | "The mechanical compaction of natural turfsports grounds is naturally a great problem. It is generally wtih great technical efforts that attempts are made to solve these problems of compaction. By means of a drainage net, established according to new criteria and by using the material known so far, an increased amount of air is introduced into the vegetation and upper layers. In doing this, the drainage net can exercise, an irrigation and drainage function at the same time. The effect in the fields of cultivation and maintenance is an obvious reduction of cost. It is further suggested to reduce the disturbance of the growth of grasses which is caused by the shading of turf areas, by means of adjustable reflectors. This type of air exchange and additional exposure to light has been licensed an as the Heidelberg system," Aero Terra."" |
