Abstract/Contents: | "The studies reported herein have increased our knowledge about bermudagrass decline. We have defined its symptoms and established several factors affecting its occurrence. All of our results indicate that the cause of the disorder is a species of Leptosphaeria, probably L. korrae. This fungus is highly resistant to many of the commonly used fungicides. This is no doubt a factor in the lack of success in chemical control efforts. Therefore, it is fortunate that the damaging effects of the disorder can be reduced by following certain cultural practices." |
